Giuliani: Trump Campaign May Have Colluded With Russia, but Not Trump

President Donald Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani says he's "never said there was no collusion" between Russian Federation and members of Trump's 2016 presidential campaign.

Giuliani's latest stance is a bit of a stretch - in May he told Fox News the Trump campaign, which would include Trump himself, did not collude with Russian Federation and in the same month he said: "Russia collusion is total fake news".

Giuliani's comments Wednesday night on CNN directly contradict the position of his own client, who's repeatedly insisted there was no collusion during his successful White House run. "I said 'the president of the United States'". "How would you know that nobody in your campaign-" Giuliani attempted to shoot back before getting cut off by Cuomo.

Wednesday night's bonkers CNN interview between Chris Cuomo and Rudy Giuliani was just screaming for a Daily Show excoriation.

Due to Mueller's initial findings, it's become impossible to deny that those closest to Trump were conspiring with Russian Federation - and the impending full report will ostensibly provide more insight as to who knew what.

During the interview, Giuliani also falsely stated that the news that Trump's former campaign chairman Paul Manafort had shared polling data with a man believed to have ties to Russian intelligence came from "leaks", which he claimed had been done "probably unethically".

A surprising number of Facebook users remain clueless about how their personal information is used for targeted advertising. Twenty-seven percent of those with a political classification said that the label was "not very or not at all accurate".

"Sharing polling data with Ukrainians who happen to have or are alleged to have a favourable relationship with Russian Federation?"

Russian Federation started their anti-US campaign in 2014, long before I announced that I would run for President. Giuliani then said something to effect of: if it happened, it didn't happen. Later in the interview Giuliani does make the distinction by explaining that the "collusion" charge has to do with whether any crime was committed - in this case, participation in or encouragement of the hack on the DNC.

Baier noted on "America's Newsroom" that the "sense" around Washington, D.C., is that the report from Special Counsel Robert Mueller is looming.

Pelosi, who issued the customary invitation to Trump weeks ago, hit the president in a vulnerable place. "So now the Dems go to a simple private transaction, wrongly call it a campaign contribution", Trump tweeted, referencing a quote that was said on Fox News.

"There's no way there wasn't collusion", agreed Sunny Hostin, adding that Giuliani has been "tripped up with all the lies".

"It's a disgrace that you even ask that question", he told reporters on the White House lawn. "Third, I want them to write the garbage they're going to write because I want to answer it", Giuliani added. Whether or not Mueller ends up indicting, should he clearly establish conspiracy by members of Trump's campaign, it could prove politically devastating.
