But, if Mr Markle Jr's hopes go according to plan then the whole family could be reunited in either Reno or Las Vegas, both in Nevada, where he hopes the pair will get married.

Markle, who according to Entertainment Tonight works as a window fitter in Grants Pass, Oregon, told The Daily Mail that he invited Meghan and her husband Prince Harry to the upcoming ceremony and celebration.

Thomas told DailyMail TV: "Absolutely I think our wedding will bring the family closer together".

"Sadly, my father will not be attending our wedding".

TV and newspaper interviews have continued to provide a platform for their desperate pleas, however Meghan and Harry have made no comment about the ongoing family drama.

Though Meghan's mom Doria Ragland couldn't be there to spend the holidays with her daughter, she'll surely be joining them soon in England to help out during Meghan's early days with her firstborn.

"If there is any animosity between Meghan and Kate they should put their differences aside", Thomas said during a new interview with United Kingdom publication The Sun, before defending the Duchess of Sussex.

"Harry is hugely protective of Meghan; he saw that as criticism, he interpreted that as his brother not really being behind this marriage and I don't think things have been quite right ever since".

"She's a very protective, down-to-earth person who won't be fazed by anyone's status - even the Queen's".
