Former NFL Player Tackles ‘Peeping Tom’ In Wellington

An accused peeping tom's black eye and multiple broken bones in his mugshot revealed a bruising lesson: don't look into the bedroom of a former National Football League player's teenage daughter.

The two men were brawling when police arrived, and Cassidy again attempted to flee, but officers took him into custody after he stumbled and fell down, police said.

Identifying information about the complainant is redacted in the document, but former National Football League defensive back Tony Beckham has since identified himself as the accuser, West Palm Beach's WPBF News reported.

The man's trousers were partially down and he was masturbating, said Beckham. "I was like, 'Is this for real?' I thought I was getting 'Punk'd'".

Beckham said he yelled at the man, who then tried to run.

"We just had a good conversation", he said.

He was charged with lewd and lascivious behavior with a victim younger than 16 years old and is now being held in Palm Beach County Jail on a $1,500 bond. Cassidy, whom police say has an OH driver's license, described himself as a transient.

Beckham's wife, Amanda, called the police, but the former football player went on to chase the suspect - later identified as 48-year-old Geoffrey Cassidy - and broke the man's face in several places after tackling him in the apartment complex's parking lot.

Cassidy is being held in Palm Beach County Jail in lieu of a $1,500 bond.

Beckham spent five seasons in the National Football League as a cornerback for the Tennessee Titans and Detroit Lions.
