Verizon unlimited plans now come with free music streaming for life

"When we introduced six months free of Apple Music to Verizon Unlimited subscribers, we said it was just the beginning of a great collaboration between Verizon and Apple to bring music streaming to our loyal customers", said Angie Klein, VP of Marketing at Verizon.

Signing up for an Apple Music account requires paying the $9.99 monthly subscription cost. It also stands to seriously bolster Apple Music's total users.

Apple in the last few months has made its iTunes service available on some of Samsung's newer smart televisions and has made Apple Music available on Amazon's Echo smart speakers.

The move would be in line with T-Mobile's offer of free Netflix, which subsidizes the price of basic Netflix for customers.

T-Mobile offers its U.S. customers a similar deal to Verizon/Apple Music's ongoing subscription bundle, but with Netflix. However, if you have a Go Unlimited plan, you're not going to be left out entirely. Customers on the lower tiered Go Unlimited plan are still eligible for the six month Apple Music trial.

Verizon is the only USA carrier to offer free Apple Music access to customers. The iPhone maker is in its Apple Music service. However, the more you spend, the better perks you get, including higher "Premium" data caps and more data allowance for mobile hotspot use.
