Minnesota Vikings hire Gary Kubiak as offensive adviser

The Vikings also hired Kubiak's son, Klint, as their quarterbacks coach and Brian Pariani as their tight ends coach.

He was a member of the Vikings' coaching staff in 2013-14 and has a past relationship with Stefanski.

Philosophical differences are keeping Kubiak from joining his former Denver Broncos under incoming head coach Vic Fangio, even though Kubiak is the team's former head coach and would fit quite well where he used to be.

Pariani has spent almost all of his coaching career with Kubiak, as he was the tight ends coach for the Texans from 2006-2013 and for the Broncos from both 1994-2004 and 2015-16.

Also Friday, SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California carrying 10 communications satellites. As the Times noted, Shotwell told CNBC last year that SpaceX has had "many years" of profitability.

With Peyton Manning leading the team, the Broncos won the Super Bowl in his first year in Denver. He's been coaching in the National Football League since 1994.

The Bengals will have to remain on the hunt for staff to hire underneath their new head coach.

Gary Kubiak is quickly becoming an in-demand coach. Most recently, he was the quarterbacks coach for Denver for the last two seasons. Kubiak's son Klay is the head coach of Strake Jesuit College Preparatory school in Dallas, and his other son, Klein, is a scout for the Broncos.

He was 3-2 as a starting quarterback with the Broncos. Munchak also reportedly interviewed for that role. Young put together the best season of his career under Kubiak as he threw for 3,969 yards with 35 touchdowns and 10 interceptions while completing 70.3 percent of his passes.
