Sadio Mane 'proud' of Liverpool milestone in Brighton win

Sadio Mane 'proud' of Liverpool milestone in Brighton win

There was no serious complaints from the offender Pascal Gross or his Brighton team-mates when Salah was awarded a penalty at the Falmer Stadium on Saturday.

Robertson however feels the issue is becoming tiresome, with replays clearly highlighting how Salah was fouled by his opponents on each occasion.

"Especially the City game was an open game and you can not a week later, only because you lose then against Wolverhampton and your manager makes 10 changes or whatever, start talking about losing football games or whatever".

The Seagulls boss, who had no complaints over the spot-kick award, lamented: "I feel for Pascal because Mo Salah is probably the most risky player once he gets in those positions one on one".

"Every time it happens, we go back, everyone looks at the video, and you go, 'well, it's not a dive",' Robertson said.

"I've not seen this Brighton one back but it's a no-brainer really for the referee".

Salah now leads the way in the Premier League goal-scoring stakes, as he did for much of last season.

Liverpool's 2-1 loss at City proved their first of a stunning Premier League campaign, and prompted an FA Cup loss at Wolves.

We know it's going to go right to the wire.

"But if things do start going wrong we need to get back on track quickly". If people are starting to say Mo has gone down easily, it's not fair. The creating was OK but finishing, we were not at our best.

"And then on Saturday we did the exact same".

"The Brazilian enforcer looks better at centre-back than he does in midfield".

"It wouldn't be obvious but it would be something about us a lot of the time - what we were good at, why we're here".

Robertson also revealed he will be kept on his toes just as much at home as at the club, with a new arrival in his family.
