Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri will not let Willian join Barcelona in January

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri will not let Willian join Barcelona in January

Reports coming in from top sources have suggested that Chelsea have rejected Barcelona's offer of €60m plus Malcom for Willian.

Barca tried to sign Willian last summer but all the three bids made for the Brazil worldwide was rejected with the final offer worth more than £55m.

Chelsea turned down a $70 million bid for Willian in the summer, and Barcelona opted for Bordeaux winger Malcom to the tune of $47m. They have gone back to their previous transfer target Willian.

Additionally, the fact that the possibility of Callum Hudson-Odoi departing from the Bridge can not be ruled out only adds to Chelsea's hesitancy in letting Willian join Barcelona.

Chelsea matchwinner Willian insists his future remains at Stamford Bridge amid speculation Barcelona will make a renewed bid to sign him before the January window closes.

Willian, 30, is probably not a big part of Maurizio Sarri's plans, although he's been used plenty by the Italian.

And due to Willian having 18 months left on his current Chelsea contract, the Daily Mail claim the west London club may be tempted to accept.

Moreover, Chelsea have recently signed Christian Pulisic, who will probably further reduce the game time of Willian.

Alvaro Morata has also been heavily linked with a move away from Chelsea and is expected to depart in one way or another this month, with Sevilla interested in a loan deal and Atletico Madrid said to be considering signing him permanently.
