Driver crashed while participating in 'Bird Box Challenge'

According to KUTV and the Layton police department, she soon careered into the other lane and hit another auto, a light pole and a sound wall.

On Monday afternoon, the unnamed teen drove on the highway with her beanie hat pulled over her eyes.

"Honestly, I'm nearly embarrassed to have to say "Don't drive with your eyes covered", but you know apparently we do have to say that", Travis Lyman of the Layton police said.

A Utah teenager attempting a viral media challenge based on Netflix's hit Bird Box movie is being blamed for a parkway crash involving two cars.

Videos of people trying to do things while blindfolded have attracted widespread attention online, and Netflix tweeted a warning about the challenge last week. There were no serious injuries in the crash.

Criminal Minds Canceled: Will End with Season 15
After the 15-episode 14th season, the crime drama will return for a final 10 episodes for Season 15, Deadline reports. Season 14 is now in production with its season finale set to air on February 6.

"This happened on Monday as a result of the driver covering her eyes while driving on Layton Parkway", Layton Police tweeted Friday.

Have you seen Bird Box?

He said it was a warning he never thought he would have to give - don't drive while blindfolded.

In the Netflix horror hit, which has inspired tons of memes and viral activity since its December 13 debut, Malorie (Sandra Bullock) resorts to blindfolding herself out of necessity (out of necessity, people!), in order to avoid any glimpse of the insanity-inducing evil menace that stalks her every step. Police say they are screening a reckless driving charge with the city attorney's office.

Luckily, no one was hurt as a result of the crash.
