Emery admits the French defender may struggle to keep up with the club's busy schedule, with Arsenal still in the FA Cup and Europa League as well as their Premier League fixtures.

However, Emery said the club will only be looking to add players to the squad on a loan basis, with no permanent deals being pursued. "Only loan players this January". The club is telling me each moment that different situations can happen for recruitment. "At the moment, we haven't had any news today about that".

While the club work on loan targets, Emery said he would be content to work with the players he has over the remainder of the season.

Asked if he would make changes to the squad's training schedule ahead of their 32nd game of the season, Emery explained: 'We are doing that. Also, we are giving chances to the young players and finding with them the regularity to be consistent when we need them to be.

The Gunners boss has admitted he has reduced the workload of some of his players to ensure they are in good shape going into the business end of the season.

Be careful if you plan on driving to the game! If cold air hangs on a little longer, more snow could be expected. The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for much of western Kansas.

The only reason the transfer has stalled is because of the two clubs, who have failed to come to an agreement over the 25-year-old.

Arsenal have been linked to Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez, who Emery managed while at Sevilla, but the Arsenal boss has distanced himself from a move.

"I don't know his situation now", Emery said.

Koscielny will be eased back gently, though, with Emery explaining: 'It's not easy for him to play three matches in one week, and we pushed him and he was playing three matches during the week, but not ninety minutes each match'.

"I asked at Blackpool if he was OK to help us play and he said: "Yeah, coach, I want to play" and he played with a very big behaviour and commitment to us".
