West Ham United turn down bid from China for Marko Arnautovic

West Ham United turn down bid from China for Marko Arnautovic

Manuel Pellegrini on Thursday dismissed suggestions the 29-year-old could leave the club this month but having admitted in November the forward would like to test himself in the Champions League, Arnautovic's brother Danijel, who also acts as his agent, released a statement which asks for them to allow him to move to the Chinese Super League.

However, Arnautovic appears determined to engineer an exit, on the evidence of a statement from the player's brother and agent Danijel, given to talkSPORT.

West Ham reportedly have Bournemouth's Callum Wilson on their radar and he could become a priority if they lose Marko Arnautovic.

The Austria worldwide has reinvented himself as a centre-forward, scoring 11 times to keep the Hammers up last season. He took every award at the club; best player, signing of the season and the players' award.

West Ham should be keeping Arnautovic in an ideal world given he's a major presence in attack, but teammates Javier Hernandez, Lucas Perez or Andy Carroll are not putting serious pressure on him for a starting position. It is close to double what they paid for him."He wants to go to a new market and challenge for titles".

West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini had earlier stated his wish and belief Arnautovic will stay for the rest of the season. "We know that we have a very good player in Marko, a lot of clubs may want him to play for them".

Despite his brother's revelations, West Ham's stance on the matter is unlikely to change unless, like former star Dimitri Payet, he refuses to play for the club - something that would be totally out of character for a player renowned for giving his all on the pitch.

Epic Games Store poaches Ubisoft's The Division 2 from Steam
A statement given to Polygon , however, states that the company "has no plans to release The Division 2 on Steam". It was a business decision to focus on Epic Store and Ubisoft Store for distribution of The Division 2 on PC.

"Those are all rumours", Pellegrini said.

"West Ham bought Marko for peanuts".

"I don't want to talk about things that might happen".

"I'm not surprised Maurizio Sarri has demanded a striker this week because they need one badly and they could probably get Wilson from Bournemouth for £30m".

'I think Marko and all the other players involved in rumours have their heads here and want to continue playing the way they are doing so far.

"I'm looking forward to the next game, a derby against Arsenal so I'm sure the atmosphere will be even more insane".
