Sheriff says missing Wisconsin teen Jayme Closs has been found alive

Investigators believe Jayme was abducted October 15 before dawn after her parents, James and Denise Closs, aged 56 and 46, were gunned down in their home in Barron.

When police arrived four minutes later, no gun or suspects were found at the scene and there was no sign of Jayme.

She was found Thursday afternoon in Gordon, Wisconsin, a town about 66 miles north of where Jayme was last seen, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said.

The Barron County Sheriff's Department was notified by the Douglas County Sheriff's Department that they had located Jayme Closs alive, according to Fitzgerald. We also want to thank all the Law Enforcement agencies across the state and country that have assisted us in this case. They could not have endured this case without the support of the public and want to thank them for all the support and help. "From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!"

He wrote that he had no additional details to report, but has scheduled a news conference for 10 a.m. Friday in Barron.

He acknowledged that Jayme may not be the same person she was before she disappeared.

'I honestly had faith.

There were days when it was hard to hold onto hope, he said.

Kelly is under criminal investigation in Fulton County, Georgia , and it's all because of Lifetime's docuseries . Savage and his wife have said repeatedly that Kelly has kept their daughter from contacting them since 2016.

"We thank everyone all around for their help", Smith said. "She's no doubt been through just a awful ordeal". We're all just so grateful and happy.

She describes Denise as a mother whose involvement showed how much she cared about her daughter: "A lot of parents will drop [their] kids off at activities when they get to be a little older".

Before Closs was reported missing, a mysterious 911 call was made from her home.

Fitzgerald said in November that he kept similar cases in the back of his mind as he worked to find Jayme, including the abduction of Elizabeth Smart, who was taken from her Salt Lake City home in 2002, when she was 14 years old.

Both Denise and James died "instantly" of their wounds, the sheriff said.

A Barron County, Wis., sheriff's vehicle was parked outside the home where James Closs and Denise Closs were found fatally shot on October 15.

In fact, there was no forensic evidence of any intruder at all.
