Clemson blowout draws lowest TV ratings for CFP title game

Clemson blew out Alabama, 44-16, in the College Football Playoff national title game on Monday night. He finished with 86 yards on 14 carries.

Tua Tagovailoa passed for 295 yards and two TD's but was intercepted twice, including a pick-six.

Clemson is the first opponent to beat the Tide by more than 14 points since Saban became coach in 2007.

National champion Clemson is atop several Way Too Early Top 25 polls released Tuesday. Coach Dabo Swinney took to the podium immediately after the win and said he'll soak it all up now, but he'll get back to film Friday and start preparing for next season.

Tagovailoa threw a second interception in the second quarter, this time into triple coverage, and Trayvon Mullen's 46-yard return put Clemson in Alabama territory. I am ready to move on to the next chapter in my life.

"Our goal is not to win a national championship".
