France worldwide Benjamin Pavard joins Bayern Munich

Pavard joined Stuttgart from Lille in 2016, helping the side to win promotion back to the Bundesliga.

Bayern Munich have agreed a deal to sign Stuttgart full-back Benjamin Pavard at the end of the season, the club's sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has announced.

The toussled, talented young French defender, a World Champion as of last summer, is reportedly set to cost Bayern around €35million.

Pavard played a key role in France's World Cup win at Russian Federation 2018 and reports of a move to Bayern have persisted since, although both parties have previously denied any agreement. "We're delighted and very proud to have been able to secure the services of a player like him".

With the transfer window now in full swing, Bayern Munich have confirmed the signing of a French 2018 FIFA World Cup victor, who will join them by the end of the 2018/19 season.

Following an outstanding debut season in Germany's upper tier, Pavard has struggled this term, just like Stuttgart. Munich meanwhile are attempting to achieve their seventh successive league title, and are six points behind league leaders Borussia Dortmund.

Do you think Pavard is a good signing for Bayern?
