Alvaro Morata Sevilla would be at huge loss for Blues

Sevilla have held preliminary talks with the agent of Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata as they look to sign the Spain worldwide on loan until the end of the season.

Chelsea need a striker who is going to guarantee them 20-goals a season.

Sevilla are willing to cut short Andre Silva's loan spell with the club provided they can secure a replacement this month, according to the Sun.

The Sevilla sporting director has met Morata's agent and is ready to propose a loan deal, given his pessimism over a permanent switch.

The striker has been an inconsistent player since his £58m move to Stamford Bridge last season and Maurizio Sarri is not happy with Morata's output in the games he's played this season.

The woman, who has remained nameless, was a victim of a near-drowning accident "at least a decade ago". The news has been described as "deeply troubling" by a representative for Arizona Governor Doug Ducey.

However, the Guardian reports that they are looking to pay £5m for the loan deal and then a further £35m in the summer - significantly less than the £60m Chelsea paid Juventus for Morata's services in July 2017.

Morata missed the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Tottenham on Tuesday night, although this was through injury rather than any imminent move.

"In his best season at Madrid he scored 20 goals, so he will be able to have a very good second part of the season and he will try to reach his best".

The report further details that Chelsea will not be prepared to offload the Spain worldwide unless they have a direct replacement lined up for January.
