‘Simmba’ continues stronghold over box office, is a certified blockbuster

"Simmba" has stood out as to be the biggest opener for Ranveer Singh and has become the third highest grosser of 2018, after "Sanju" and "Padmaavat".

Simmba (Simba) has ended its second weekend at the box office with fantastic collection. "Expected to collect bigger numbers today (Sunday)", tweeted trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

The movie continued to pull massive audience on second Sunday as well, registering excellent day 10 earning.

Slowing no sign of slowing down, the action drama made excellent collection till Thursday, and crossed Rs 150 crore at the Indian box office.

Speaking to IANS about the kind of response Simmba has been receiving, Ranveer Singh said: "I had never done this kind of out and out masala entertainer - a kind of movie I had always wanted to do". Also starring Sara Ali Khan and Sonu Sood in key roles, the film continues its tremendous run at the ticket window unhindered.
