This year's show likely has awards in store for Bradley Cooper's Oscar front-runner "A Star Is Born", Yorgos Lanthimos' period romp "The Favourite", the Amazon comedy series "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" and Ryan Murphy's anthology series "The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story". The Golden Globes will kick off at 8:00pm EST/5pm PST on NBC.

But the two closed the monologue in a serious note, alluding to why Oh said "yes" to hosting this year.

"I don't know what I was doing but she said, 'Are you hungry?' I said, 'Yeah, '" he shared, before joking, "I was burping and my stomach was growling".

She continued, "I started crying, I couldn't let it go ..."

She was over the moon, screaming "Oh my God", before adding, "I'm so grateful to my family".

Nominees that have been in sizable box office hits may also potentially help the Globes, none more than Ryan Coogler's "Black Panther", up for best picture (drama) and score.
