Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Keeps Firing Back at Her Haters

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) set her own Twitter record.

But it's wrong to dismiss the young woman's rhetoric or her "Green New Deal" as only the fantastic notions of a socialist youth.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was sworn into Congress on Thursday - but later, the New York Democrat was inducted into an even more exclusive body: the "Breakfast Club".

Ocasio-Cortez then launched into an attack that had no correlation with Scalise's tweet, writing: "Oh that's right, nearly forgot: GOP works for the corporate CEOs showering themselves in multi-million bonuses; not the actual working people whose wages + healthcare they're ripping off for profit".

But rather than embarrass Ocasio-Cortez, the release ended up having the opposite of its intended effect. The video was made when she was a student at Boston University, and actually has been posted on YouTube since 2010.

Beyond aesthetics, the Space Monitor 27-inch model offers WQHD resolution, while the 32-inch model can display content in 4K UHD. This monitor comes in a 27-inch model that affords QHD resolution as well as a 32-inch variant that presents color in 4K UHD.

She is also an adept social media user and has 1.74 million followers on Twitter and 1.2 million on Instagram, and regularly engages with them, such as posting a video diary on Instagram documenting her first week in Washington.

Few recent freshmen representatives have been able to command the level of publicity and attention that Ocasio-Cortez has received. In October, Brett Kavanaugh was approved to the Supreme Court despite three allegations of sexual assault during his high school and college days. None of this mattered to the Republicans (and the odd Democrat) who voted yes for Kavanaugh.

Her promise offers to "create a nation of dignified healthcare, tuition-free higher education, quality employment, and justice for all - and we're the only ones to do it without corporate money".

A similar fate befell the person behind the dancing video. With one of the most egregious examples of how much a white, privileged man can get away with in America fresh in our minds, the contrast is nothing less than revolting. "So many people sacrificed so much for this to happen ― my mother most of all", Ocasio-Cortez wrote. "Have a great weekend everyone", she tweeted along with the new video.

Asked if she considers herself to be a radical, Ocasio-Cortez told CBS, "You know, if that's what radical means, call me a radical".
