New Range of LG 2019 ThinQ AI 8K OLED TVs Announced

LG has shown a prototype of its 8K OLED TV in 2018.

So we already know a lot of the tech that's coming including a whopping 88in OLED TV that will offer a an 8K resolution. This year will be no different and here's all the details for the LG press conference for 2019 and what gadgets to expect. Leading its 8k LCD charge will be the 75in SM99.

The South Korean company is still pushing screen resolution boundaries by selling two 8K sets. This means that users should see really bright pops of colour and deep blacks.

LG will face the same problem as Samsung in terms of lack of content, however. In fact, outside of a few videos on Vimeo, there's not really anything to watch in 8K now.

Thinking your next TV purchase will skip a generation and go straight to 8K before it's big? As for the pricing details, the company is yet to reveal the price tags and availability of the flagship TVs. LG's flagship TVs will also include Dolby Atoms for greater sound quality. This Collection includes Z9, W9, E9, and C9 models. The result will be a smoother and clearer motion for better rendering of fast-action content when watching sports and action movies. The latest standard gives these units a leg up and are more future proof against the competition. Installers will also appreciate support for enhanced audio return channel (eARC).

While the addition of HDMI 2.1 has huge benefits, users will need new cables to take advantage of all the new additions.

The company added that there is an inclusion of HDMI 2.1 ports. For its 2019 TVs, however, LG is bringing the Alexa voice assistant to its TVs.

However if you're feeling like this will be your next TV, we'd start saving. Rather than being forced to use an external speaker to control your TV via Alexa, you can just hit the Amazon Prime Video button on your Magic Remote. Google Assistant will also continue to be supported. If their home is set up to support Alexa, their TV can now be the hub - no choice involved. Thanks to the new algorithm, LG's TVs will offer enhanced picture and sound by analyzing source content as well as optimized content by recognizing ambient conditions. They announced some of their 88-inches 8K OLED TVs with ThinQ AI which are going to be launch soon in 2019.
