Emery used the word "never" when speaking of Keylor Navas Arsenal move

Emery used the word

Despite falling out of favour as Madrid has stuck with Belgian Thibaut Courtois, the Costa Rican still agreed to stay with the Los Blancos.

According to Spanish TV station LaSexta (via Marca), however, those rumours have been put to bed as the keeper has signed a deal worth €5m per year, keeping him tied to Real until June 2021.

Meanwhile, Arsenal will be disappointed with this arrangement as they were hoping to sign the 32-year-old in order to add to their squad.

However, Petr Cech is set to leave Arsenal at the end of the season as he turns 37 in May so Unai Emery could be bringing Navas in as a replacement for the Czech legend - who could even find a new club this month if a move for Navas is wrapped-up swiftly.

Cech last made an appearance for the Gunners back in September.

Justin Fields transferring to Ohio State
Haskins has reportedly been weighing whether to return to Ohio State for another year, or leave for the 2019 NFL Draft. Both are expected to compete with Fields for the starting job as he will seek to be immediately eligible.

Having conceded 31 goals, Arsenal have the 9th worst defensive record in the league, despite sitting in fifth place.

Cech, 36, is likely to start when Arsenal face League One side Blackpool in the FA Cup third round on Saturday.

This post is being taken as a "farewell" message ahead of a move away from Madrid and if these reports of a firm bid from Arsenal are accurate, then a switch to north London could be on the cards this month.

However, the North London club faces serious opposition for his signature with AS Roma ready to rival their bid for the Costa Rica global. All situations like this, we will speak with the player and with the club but at the moment, I want his focus the same, each training, each match.

However, if reports are correct, Unai Emery is unsatisfied with Leno's form and is already after a new 'Keeper.
