Golden Globes Co-Host Sandra Oh 'Not Interested' in Trump Bashing

Despite being musicals, both "A Star is Born" and "Bohemian Rhapsody", starring Rami Malek as the late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury, will compete in the more prestigious best movie drama category.

In 2018, it was impossible to tune into a major award show without hearing some political jabs and comedy from the sitting host of the event.

In it, they discuss what they're most excited about for the show and address how much political and/or anti-Trump content will be featured.

Last year, the 2018 Golden Globe Awards telecast averaged a 5.0 rating in adults 18-49 and 19 million viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research, putting it ahead of every show on television from the previous 10 months in total viewers, since the prior year's Academy Awards. Carol Burnett will receive the first-ever Carol Burnett Award, a special achievement award from the Golden Globes. "Just speaking for my own community, people cried a lot in [Crazy Rich Asians], and it's not only because it's a great story and a classic romantic comedy - it is because seeing yourself reflected onscreen is really emotional when you don't even know that you're carrying so much grief of never being seen".

Oh sees the role as "really to be there to support all the nominees and those who take that platform to say whatever they want", she said.

"No, I don't think I could do that".

He added, "Everyone is depressed, and maybe that's as good a reason as any that everyone could use a little time to laugh and celebrate".
