Leaked Nokia 9 PureView promo video details cameras and internals

Nokia 9 PureView promises to be one of the most important smartphones coming our way in 2019.

The new video is a render, leaked by MySmartPrice, shows off the Nokia 9 PureView, revealing once more a back that's packed with camera optics.

Keep in mind that this promo video may just be a rumor and the final release may differ from what we're seeing here. This isn't surprising for HMD Global, as the company did the same thing with the Nokia 8 Sirocco about a year ago. Apart from the showcasing the handset from all angles, the video has revealed its key camera features. It isn't clear what the additional cameras are for but we are guessing that both telephoto and ultra-wide-angle lenses are available.

However, the current design appears to be slightly different. Lastly, the camera matrix will allow users to snap 5 photos at the same time. Meanwhile, the notch is missing from the recently leaked renders.

Earlier today, leakster extraordinaire Evan Blass had shared a press render to reveal the front and rear designs of the Nokia 9 PureView. "The display is said to be a 5.99" AMOLED panel that pushes a Quad HD+ resolution in an 18:9 aspect ratio. That could indicate an in-display fingerprint sensor on the field.

This Is The Best Look At Nokia 9 PureView So Far; An Android One Phone with 5 Rear Camera

The latest Nokia 9 PureView leak is the most definitive one, by far. Since we are entering the new year, the Nokia 9 PureView's hardware is already looking dated with its Snapdragon 845 unit.

The video also offers up a number of specs that we should expect to see on the camera phone. But the smartphone is definitely going to come equipped with Qi wireless charging support.

According to a report by The Verge, HMD Global bought the PureView brand from Microsoft in 2018 after partnering with Zeiss for its Android smartphone cameras. Simply put, it will run a pure version of Android with guaranteed software updates. Oh well, it still looks very interesting, though there's an terrible lot we don't know yet.

The device is powered by Google's Android One, and it will come with Android 9 out of the box.
