Storm warning in effect until Wednesday; heavy snow expected

Those conditions will bring blizzard conditions like low-visibility and blowing snow from late Wednesday to Thursday.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for Isanti, Redwood, Renville, Sherburne and Wright counties beginning Wednesday evening and lasting through Friday morning.

Travel may be impacted or become hazardous due to this storm moving across the regions from Thursday afternoon into early Saturday morning.

This year, a record number of people are traveling across the country, majority by auto, as winter storm Eboni looms.

A massive amount of wet snow could make returning home for those who spent Christmas away both complicated and more than a little risky.

For metro spots, it will be a quick two or three inches of snow followed by a lot of rain which will likely melt any snow that actually falls. "Travel will be very hard to impossible". There the estimates for accumulation were from 13 to 17 inches, with wind gusts up to 50 miles per hour in some areas.

A winter storm will begin to impact north central Wisconsin tonight. The storm is expected to hit all mountain passes in the San Juans.
