Deepika Padukone opens up about Ranbir Kapoor not attending her reception

Deepika Padukone tied the knot to her long-time boyfriend Ranveer Singh on November 14 and 15 at Lake Como Italy.

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh will go on their honeymoon after Simmba releases as that's a priority for them right now. Their wedding was attended by their respective families and only a few friends. Now, in an interview Deepika has broken her silence over Ranbir's absence from her Mumbai wedding reception. Asked when she thought Ranveer was special, she said, "I was at Yash Raj and he was there and he was flirting like it's nobody's business and he was dating somebody else at this point and I was smiling to myself and told him, You are flirting with me'".

Deepika and Ranveer were last snapped at an awards function where Singh bagged the best actor's award. Ranveer was promoting Simmba at a Mumbai hotel, where this wedding was also taking place. Deepika chalked it to privacy.

Further she talks about why Ranveer and she chose Lake Como to be the destination for their wedding. "We announced everything, we announced (wedding dates) a month before we got married and I'd anyway taken this year off as I needed to replenish emotionally, so it all just worked out". And to that question, Deepika laughed and said "Cheeeee... we just went 50 years back in time" and later on added that we will know soon. They first exchanged their wedding vows as per Konkani rituals and later got married in a Sindhi ceremony. This is what she had to say. "The weather was lovely, the sun was handsome, magical is the one word to sum it all up".
