What the Emmanuel Sanders injury means for the Denver Broncos

The Broncos believe wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders suffered a torn Achilles in his left leg after going down in practice Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN.com reports.

Because of the success the Broncos have had downfield and because of the potential of DaeSean Hamilton to now take Sanders' place as the preferred underneath receiver, the Broncos could explore a variety of options.

But despite the litany of injuries to the club as of late, there's no time to be upset, said "Stokley and Zach" co-host Brandon Stokley.

"It didn't look good, " Vance Joseph said before the Broncos officially placed Sanders on injured reserve.

Offset Begs For Cardi B's Forgiveness In Emotional Apology Video
The Migos rapper, 27, shared a video to Instagram apologising to his wife of 14 months for "being a selfish, messed-up husband". Apparently, Cardi is understandably still very hurt and furious but she is trying her best to fix things, one day at a time.

After trading star receiver Demaryius Thomas in October, the Broncos will be left with a slew of inexperienced receivers to finish the season. Joseph said Sanders had been feeling sore in his "heel area" last week, but was feeling better before practice Wednesday. After surviving the league's most arduous schedule through November, the Broncos' next three opponents - 49ers, Browns and Raiders - are a combined 9-26-1. Now they will be without Sanders for the rest of the season and possibly the beginning of next season, should surgery be necessary. Sanders slipped when he was making a cut on a short route.

In 12 games for Buffalo this season, Holmes had 12 receptions on 23 targets for 157 yards. Green got hurt on October 28, missed three games with the injury, and returned last Sunday against Denver.

To prevent defenses from stacking the box to stop Lindsay, offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave may have to relent and use Lindsay, along with running back Devontae Booker, more in the passing game.
