Suns CEO says team won’t move to Seattle

Rogers had some absolute dimes during her impassioned speech, such as: "He's so tight, he squeaks when he walks". And especially not an entertainment enterprise.

"The question isn't whether Las Vegas or Seattle are realistic options for Robert Sarver to move the Suns", Van Gundy said.

On Wednesday, the Phoenix City Council delayed a vote on a plan renovate the arena until January.

"I'm 100 percent committed ... to find a solution to keep them in downtown Phoenix where they belong", Sarver said in a social media post. However, there has been a growing uncertainty surrounding a proposed renovation to the Talking Stick Resort Arena. Sarver is saying he is 100 percent committed to keeping the team in Phoenix, which carries the implicit message that if the Suns leave, it must be due to the city of Phoenix not being 100 percent committed to keeping the team as well.

'In addition, it is important for the Phoenix Suns to build a first-class practice facility so the players of the Suns and the Phoenix Mercury can continue to develop.

Chris Christie Declines White House Chief of Staff Position
Ivanka Trump , the president's daughter and a White House adviser, praised Mulvaney, while thanking Kelly for his service. Trump added that his current chief of staff, John Kelly , will be staying until the end of the year.

On Thursday, before the Suns' 99-89 win over the Dallas Mavericks snapped a 10-game losing streak, Sarver announced he has no intention of leaving Phoenix.

The Suns agreed to a 40-year lease in 1992, but the deal included a provision for the team to opt out at 30 years.

Given the nature of the situation, Sarvers threats to move the franchise could simply be a way of regaining the upper hand and forcing city council members to seriously weigh the ramifications of turning down the funding plan for those arena renovations.

"He said, 'If you guys are not going to vote for this, let me go, just let me go somewhere else", the council member told the Republic.

Team President Jason Rowley stated: "The team was not engaged in any discussion with Seattle, Las Vegas or any other city for that matter". But the team has failed to make the playoffs in each of the last eight seasons and is an NBA-worst 5-24 this season, despite having the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.
