Fox 2 Meteorologist Jessica Starr Dead at Age 35

"All of us here. are in deep shock and can not believe that such a wonderful, bright and intelligent individual will no longer be with us", the station said in a statement.

Please keep them all in your thoughts as they deal with their own grief.

FOX 2 Detroit and Jessica's colleague Amy Andrews announced Jessica's passing on Twitter this morning, revealing that she had died in a suicide.

"She's been our hometown hero for a long time", coach Robert Schopf said in the video, sharing a throwback photograph of Starr standing around her teammates in a #33 jersey.

It's unclear just what may have led to Starr's decision to commit suicide.

Starr was a mother of two and had recently taken time off to recover from Lasik eye surgery. "A shining star. A light that will never fade in the eyes of the town she loved and called home".

But Klopp was unwilling to criticise United's style, saying that Mourinho's side do not always play negative football. But when we analyse them and switch off the sound, there is a lot of quality.

Jessica Starr was struggling to recover from Lasik surgery. "I would appreciate it cause I'm trying to stay strong and get through this recovery". "Yesterday was a struggle for me", she said. Will keep you updated, ' she said.

Starr had two degrees, one in broadcast meteorology and one in geography and communications. In 2015, while she was pregnant with her daughter, she detailed a hurtful letter someone wrote her, shaming her for her baby weight when she was nine months pregnant. "We're in the public eye, and you have to have a thick skin to be in the media". This led to her being off the air for some time. "You cannot like the hair today; we're used to that". You cannot like the makeup, the outfit, that's fine. "Thanks again for all the wishes, I'm excited to be back I just want to get my vision back so I can keep you guys smiling". Starr, a Southfield, Mich., native, has been with the station since 2012 following her role as the weekend meteorologist and feature reporter at WBFF-FOX 45 in Baltimore, MD.

Her bio on the Fox 2 site also stated that she worked in Lansing in 2005 as a part-time weekend meteorologist with WLNS-Channel 6.

The 35-year-old MI native reportedly leaves behind a husband and two children.

Several of Starr's colleagues mourned her death on-air during the morning news on Thursday.

Fox 2 Detroit anchor Roop Raj tweeted out, "It is with a heavy heart that I post this". She leaves behind a husband, two attractive children and a loving family. "She's still a success story from Walled Lake Central [High School] and I'm not going to stop telling that story".
