Toledo Woman Accused Of Plotting Pipe Bomb Attacks

Two people have been arrested in OH for plotting separate terror attacks that were allegedly inspired in part by Dylann Roof, Columbine and the recent mass shooting at a Pittsburgh synagogue.

Lecron said her master plan was to commit an "upscale mass murder" attack at a Toledo bar, and was also considering her place of work as a target, since she thought the company was polluting the river behind its facility. Further investigation revealed Lecron frequently posted photographs and comments on social media glorifying mass murderers, including the Columbine shooters and Dylann Roof.

Lecron talked with undercover agents and informants about carrying out a mass killing at a Toledo bar and later switched to talking about attacking a livestock farm and a factory where she worked, according to an affidavit.

The suspect, 21-year-old Damon M. Joseph, has been charged in a federal court with one count of attempting to provide material support to ISIS.

The FBI said investigators found an AK-47, shotgun, handguns, ammunition and hand-caps, which are used to make pipe bombs, in her apartment.

Because of a previous conviction, Joseph was unable to purchase the AR-15 rifles he wanted to use in the attack on his own - the undercover agent had to supply them.

'Joseph told the undercover agent that he would hide two semi-automatic rifles at his house once the undercover purchased them, ' a statement issued on Monday by the US Attorney in Northern Ohio said.

She also idolized the Columbine High School shooters, authorities said. The FBI has arrested an OH man who planned a similar attack, inspired by the Pittsburgh killer.

According to the arrest warrant, Lecron stated that "security is little to none" at the plant, and that she would get the undercover agent an access badge by stating she had lost her badge and requesting a second one.

Toledo police received a tip about Lecron's social media activity and alerted the Northwest Ohio Joint Terrorism Task Force, US Attorney Justin Herdman said Monday.

"I admire what the guy did with the shooting actually", Joseph told an undercover agent about the Pittsburgh shooting. "I can see myself carrying out this type of operation inshallah", Joseph said.

On December 2, Joseph allegedly sent agents a document containing his plans for a similar attack, aimed at maximizing casualties, and not allowing anyone to escape, other than himself.

Elizabeth Lecron, 23, is charged with one count of transportation of explosives and explosive material for the goal of harming others.

Authorities in court documents say the Toledo woman traded letters with SC church shooter Dylann Roof and sent him a book about Nazis. He pledged his allegiance to ISIS and made videos to encourage others to join ISIS, the jihadist militant group.

If convicted, Lecron faces a maximum of 10 years in prison.

Two days later, he said he was deciding between two synagogues in the area, saying the choice depended on "Which one will have the most people, what time and what day".
