Spider-Man's next batch of DLC nabs a release date

Spider-Man PS4's The City That Never Sleeps DLC series will finally put itself to bed when the third and final chapter arrives on December 21. Just in time for Christmas!

The focus of the upcoming expansion is Silver Sable, who, according to the official blurb, has returned to New York City in order to reclaim her stolen Sable International Tech.

Insomniac could always decide to do more DLC for Spider-Man, but Silver Sable marks the end of the road for The City That Never Sleeps. This is conjunction with the newly-released "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse".

Meanwhile, mob boss Hammerhead continues to wreak havoc after being introduced in the second DLC pack, setting up a climactic clash between himself, Spider-Man, and Silver Sable. There'll also be three new suits for you to use, including one inspired by Sony Pictures' hit new movie, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

At the moment, it isn't clear if Silver Lining will be the final DLC release for Marvel's Spider-Man or if Insomniac has plans for future DLC once we're into 2019. We could only assume the latter would be involved with a DLC titled "Silver Lining", and with its December 21 launch the entire storyline will be complete.

In addition to his ever-growing list of chores/noble quests, Silver Lining boasts three brand-new Spidey-Suits.

The three costumes you'll be able to unlock in Silver Lining include Cyborg Spider-Man, the Aaron Aikman Spider-Armor, and the suit worn by Peter Parker in Into the Spider-Verse, a new movie that's releasing around the USA tomorrow. Head over to the US PlayStation Blog for a closer look.
