Cristiano Ronaldo digs out Madrid: Juve best group I've played with

Cristiano Ronaldo has said Juventus has the best team spirit of any club he has played at, taking a thinly-veiled swipe at Real Madrid.

Inspired by Ronaldo, Juventus now sit eight points clear in Serie A and have coasted through the Uefa Champions League group stages with an identical record to his former club Real, whom there is every chance of him meeting in the tournament's final stages in February. I would like him to come to Italy one day.

"For me, life is a challenge, I like it and I like to make people happy", he added.

However, the forward has warned that the club can not become obsessed with the Champions League like Real Madrid did when they were seeking "La Decima" between 2002 and 2014.

"He is a fantastic player and a good guy, but I don't miss anything there".

Ronaldo then appeared to take a slight dig at former side Madrid, claiming his new Juventus side are the best team of stars he has ever lined up with.

'May Be He Misses Me!' - Ronaldo Invites Messi To Serie A

"If (Paulo) Dybala or (Mario) Mandzukic don't score, you still see them happy and smiling".

"No, maybe he misses me", Ronaldo told Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport. "It's different to Madrid, this is more of a family". "So congratulations to Modric, he deserves it, but we'll see next year and I will do everything I can to win it again, understood?"

"You must talk to the president about that", Cristiano Ronaldo said. Even though they're humble at Madrid, here I feel like they're more humble. In the future, I don't know.

"I have to defend these colours and nothing else counts - if I played against Real Madrid, I would give my best". I do not like when they compare me to him, it's not fair, if you look at the statistics, I proved that I could succeed with all the clubs and in the national team. And in 99% of the cases I win, maybe for a few euros or a bottle of wine. "This is my new life and I am happy". "In the changing room I have a collection with three bottles and 200-300 euros".

"On the field, I have done everything to win, the numbers don't lie, but don't think that I'm less happy if I don't win". "I respect the decision".

Messi shines as Barca thrash Espanyol in derby
Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele was two hours late for a training session on Sunday, sources have told ESPN FC. Espanyol defender Oscar Duarte fouled the Barcelona playmaker 25 yards out in a central position.
