Nintendo and Marvel unite for Nintendo Switch Exclusive

Nintendo and Marvel unite for Nintendo Switch Exclusive

One of the big rumours before The Game Awards started is that this was when Square Enix would finally reveal their long in-development Avengers game, especially as the Russo brothers, directors of Avengers: Infinity War, were known to be in attendance.

In case you're not familiar, the Ultimate Alliance games were isometric action-RPGs that pulled together heroes and villains across the Marvel multiverse to face down world-ending threats like Dr. Doom and Galactus. The one platform where there isn't one yet, save for a LEGO-based title, is the Nintendo Switch. Even more surprising is that it will be an exclusive for the Nintendo Switch console, despite being developed by KOEI TECMO's internal studio Team NINJA (Nioh, Ninja Gaiden, Dead or Alive). "From Avengers Tower to the X-Mansion and beyond, every stop on the risky quest to thwart Thanos results in unexpected collisions of fan-favorite characters and iconic locations". The Guardians of the Galaxy folks are all there.

Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled announced at the Game Awards
Looks like the rumors were true, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is gracing us with its existence on June 21st, 2019. It will come to PlayStation 4, Xbox One , and Nintendo Switch for $39.99 adding online play to its existing modes.

Unlike recent Avengers movie tie-ins, the game includes X-Men and mutants as well as characters from the wider Marvel license.

The reveal was quite a shocker though as the Ultimate Alliance franchise has laid dormant now for years, when it was originally published by Activision. Personally, I could not be more excited about this announcement.
