And it seems that Epic is borrowing a page out of EA's book by making two games free each month. Developers get 88 per cent of the the money that comes in from sales of their games on the platform. First of all, Epic revealed that they're going to give away one free game every two weeks throughout 2019, starting with the excellent Subnautica (available from December 14th to December 27th), which will be followed by Super Meat Boy (from December 28th to January 10th, 2019).

Epic Games circumvented the Google Play Store with the launch of Fortnite by exclusively releasing the massively popular game through Samsung's own store for Galaxy devices and Epic's website for everyone else.

Services on PS4 and Xbox One as well as Twitch and EA's Access all dole out games for the price of a regular subscription, but Epic is offering their freebies without any monthly subscription fee. Only five additional games are available for purchase right now with more being listed as "coming soon".
