Real Madrid complete 10-1 aggregate thrashing of Melilla

The Santiago Bernabéu enjoyed a ideal evening of great football and goals galore as Real Madrid booked a place in the Copa del Rey last-sixteen by thrashing Melilla (6-1).

The score stands at 0-4 from the first leg when the two teams met in October.

The two sides meet again at the Bernabeu Stadium on Thursday and Solari has since been appointed as Julen Lopetegui's permanent replacement.

However, Solari moved swiftly to keep feet firmly on the ground with league games against Huesca and Rayo Vallecano to come either side of CSKA Moscow's Champions League trip to Madrid before he and his players head for the United Arab Emirates later this month.

"All players in the squad, plus the guys from the Castilla squad who can play are working with intensity, enthusiasm and they're excited", Solari told a press conference.

Donald Trump Demands 'REAL DEAL' with China Despite Shaken Stock Market
Trump, however, also threatened to impose tariff on China, if failed to reach an agreement with the given deadline. One Chinese official said officials were "waiting for the leaders to return" before publicising details.

At time of writing, Real are four goals to the good (8-0 on aggregate) against their tiny Segunda Division B opponents with an hour or so played.

Now in full-time charge, Solari rang the changes for this match up against modest Melilla, with the Argentine resting the likes of Thibaut Courtois, newly crowned Ballon d'Or victor Luka Modric, Gareth Bale, Sergio Ramos and Karim Benzema.

"It's Modric's year", Solari added.

"It comes at a time of maturity in his career. We're all very happy with his prize". Vinicius and Marco Asensio would play alongside each other when they take on Melilla on Thursday.

One thing that's clear is that Real Madrid will not let Isco leave on loan during the January transfer window, while telling the player that he needs to find a club willing to fork out €700 million if he wants out of Santiago Bernabeu.
