Mortal Kombat 11 announced with first trailer - out April 2019

One of the biggest and most surprising announcements to come out of The Game Awards 2018 yesterday was Mortal Kombat 11, the latest entry in the long-running and once controversial fighting game series.

"'Mortal Kombat' is back and better than ever in the next evolution of the iconic franchise", the official description states.

A lot of announcements were made recently at The Game Awards, and one of the most influential fighting game franchises in history chose to become a part of it. Will Mortal Kombat 11 be skipping Steam like so numerous other announcements from The Game Awards tonight? At first glance, Raiden stands out from his usual blue-eyed appearance, bearing a pair of red eyes as dark as his blood that fans might recognize from his design in Mortal Kombat Deception and Armageddon. Are you excited to return to the Mortal Kombat universe?

They also said that Thanos could figure out the real Dr. "It's hard to know where your head's gonna be at in a few years". What do you think of these new pieces of information? But the following week, Evans softened his earlier sentiments.

The devious Scorpion and the seasoned Raiden fight it off in an epic battle of signature moves.

Pre-orders have already started for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC - giving you exclusive access to a beta and the Shao Kahn character. Weirdly, another Scorpion appeared to finish the fight - perhaps eluding to the new "custom variation" system that the game will be employing.

Mortal Kombat 11 is real and it's real bloody. Now while NetherRealm Studios has not reveal any gameplay footage, it promises to do so on January 17th during the Mortal Kombat 11: The Reveal event.
