Michelle Obama's Sweet Advice For Meghan Markle Is Simple And Perfect

The former first lady of the United States criticized the philosophy of feminism from the Facebook chief operating officer, detailed in Sandberg's 2013 book Lean In: Women, Work and the Will to Lead, during an appearance at Barclays Center in Brooklyn over the weekend.

"What I'd say is that there's so much opportunity to do good with a platform like that - and I think Meghan can maximise her impact for others, as well her own happiness, if she's doing something that resonates with her personally", Mrs Obama told the magazine.

"Marriage still ain't equal, y'all", she said, according to Vanity Fair."It ain't equal".

The writer and cultural commentator Touré was there, and tweeted that the audience "freaked out" when Obama used the curse word - and that the former first lady herself said she "forgot where she was for a moment".

"Tattoo it on my body!" one Twitter user wrote about Obama's words.

Meghan has already become involved with new projects since joining the Royal family earlier this year, including a charity cookbook to help those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire. "Finally", tweeted one person. "And I'm like, duh, marriage is hard, it is hard".

The expectation to "have it all" is something Michelle Obama is exhausted of hearing.

Sandberg addressed the criticism that her book left out underprivileged women back in 2016, telling CBS that, "I did not really get how hard it is to succeed at work when you are overwhelmed at home". It spawned a nonprofit bearing the same name founded by Sandberg and hundreds of "Lean In" circles, groups of women who meet regularly to discuss Sandberg's advice.

On Monday she said universities needed to do more to encourage pupils from schools like EGA, to be more diverse. "Lean In has the potential to be an important book if a wider range of women than those reflected in its pages start hashing out Sandberg's best ideas".
