FA Cup third round draw

Holders Chelsea will begin their FA Cup defence with a home tie against Nottingham Forest, while Arsenal could face non-league opposition in the third round.

Build up starts at 7.30pm with the draw itself likely to take place around ten minutes later.

Portsmouth have bounced back from financial implosion, having won the FA Cup in 2008 as a Premier League side and then been beaten in the final by Chelsea in 2010.

Spurs, who lost Sunday's Premier League derby at the Emirates Stadium 4-2, will travel to either League Two Tranmere or National League North Southport.

Leicester, Premier League champions in 2016, will travel to either National League Wrexham or Newport of League Two, while Watford are also on the road at National League South Woking.

On the Minnesota Vikings' first third down Sunday evening, Kirk Cousins gazed across the line of scrimmage and saw chaos. They handed the ball off to Latavius Murray , who appeared to be stopped short of the first down marker.

Shrewsbury, who have appointed Sam Ricketts as boss, have seen off Salford City and Scunthorpe United to reach the third round stage for the fifth time in 23 attempts.

And Dean Smith's revitalised Aston Villa will fancy their chances to get through against Swansea City with home advantage.

The ties are due to be played on the weekend of January 4-6, with the winners claiming £135,500 after prize money was doubled for this season.

Either Walsall or Sunderland will make the trip to Bolton, Hull head for Millwall and Brentford will play host to Oxford.
