Nissan Maxima: Refreshed for More V-Motion

Nissan Maxima: Refreshed for More V-Motion

Nissan North America has debuted the updated 2019 Murano at the Los Angeles motor show this week, alongside the updated Maxima sedan. Altima sedan sales are more than 2.5 times the Murano's 68,962 US sales through October.

The third generation Nissan Murano that was introduced in early 2014 has received a facelift. But for those who want V-6 power, more space, and flashier looks in a tall, wagonish body, the Murano remains the staple in Nissan dealerships.

The Murano's front end has been revised to wear a set of triangular air intakes and a more pronounced V-motion grille, bookended by a set of updated LED headlights.

In back, quad exhaust tips are blended into the rear bumper while a new, sporty spoiler is added to the SR version. Sunset Drift Chromaflair, Mocha Almond Pearl and Deep Blue Pearl are the new body colours.

The 2019 Nissan Murano Solidifies Its Standing as a Semi-Luxury Crossover

Inside, the Murano scores semi-aniline leather seats with diamond-quilted inserts and contrast piping on the seats, door armrests and centre console lid for the top-spec Platinum grade, while three new trim finishers are available - dark-wood tone for Platinum, and either light-wood tone or metallic for the rest of the range.

The 2019 Nissan Maxima will be sold in five different grade levels: S, SV, SL, SR, and Platinum. An updated infotainment system finally rids the Murano of its VCR-style screen. Under the hood, Nissan sticks with the standard 3.5-liter V6 making 300 horsepower and 261 pound-feet of torque, mated to the same CVT transmission and sport-tuned steering, brakes and suspension. Things like automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, high-beam assist, and rear automatic braking are available on lower trims levels of the Maxima for a yet-to-be-disclosed price, but come standard on Platinum and SR Premium Package grades. SL and Platinum trims get a better navigation system with online point-of-interest search and satellite images. Nissan's semi-automated driving functionality, ProPilot Assist, is still not on the Murano.

The big story with the 2019 Nissan Murano, though, is safety. So, in the "base" of the crossover now has a knee airbag for the front passenger side "airbag" on the second row of seats.

Klafter & Burke, his firm, has often sought to reduce the property taxes Trump Tower and other commercial properties have to pay. The alderman said he is "completely confident that at the end of the day nothing will be found amiss in this instance either".
