Toyota Corolla Sedan Teased Again Ahead Of Debut This Month

Toyota is preparing to unleash the new generation Corolla sedan at the 2018 Guangzhou International Auto Show in China on November 16, the press day of the motoring show hosted till November 25. The Japan-based automaker did say that it has redesigned the platform of the auto, making it the 12 generation, so we can expect even more changes in the rest of the vehicle.

The new-gen Corolla is built on Toyota's TNGA global platform, and as with the five-door, the new sedan is expected to be longer, wider and lower than the current model. It is still a sedan but it has a sporty look. It rides on a lighter, stiffer platform, a version of Toyota's scalable architecture. As expected, the exterior of the vehicle is nearly identical to the same sedan and wagon: the machines are the same form of head optics and grille, but the blocks are different fog lights.

Toyota Motor Company has confirmed plans to reveal the 2020 Toyota Corolla later this week. There could be some subtle design changes here and there, but until Toyota officially reveals the all-new sedan, everything is up to speculation at the moment. Reports suggest that it could replace the Corolla Altis in India by 2020. It should come with the familiar 8NR-FTS 1.2L turbo, and M20A-FKS 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engines, but no diesel engine.

The process begins today, but it may take some time before it arrives on all the Pixel smartphones out there in the wild. Night Sight also uses machine learning to adapt to the various lighting situations that might be present.

The teaser is proof that the 2020 Toyota Corolla Altis won't have an individual design.

Factor in a lower centre of gravity, similar 60 per cent improvement in body rigidity and better weight distribution, and the 2019 Corolla sedan should be more athletic than the old auto.
