Walmart goes public with its Black Friday plans

The retailer has also introduced 18 Black Friday deals that are available starting today online. "The deals also include a selection of TVs from Samsung, Toshiba, and Insignia, ranging from a 32" HD Insignia for $90 to 50" Samsung 4K display for $330.

Starting online at 10 PM ET on November 21, and expanding to brick and mortar stores the following day at 6 PM, all the hottest smartphones in the United States are getting massive discounts.

The frenzy shows the rules are changing as retailers prepare to battle for what could be the strongest holiday period in years - fuelled by robust consumer confidence and low unemployment.
