Fossil's latest Wear OS smartwatch adds longer battery life for $255

Fossil is one of the biggest supporters of Google's Wear OS platform, and today, the company announced its latest smartwatch offering as the Fossil Sport.

It's hard to take Google's Wear OS software platform seriously in the Apple-dominated smartwatch market when so many recent releases have come powered by an nearly three year-old processor.

In an exclusive interview with The Weekly , Prince Charles opened up about his love for gardening and the environment. She said: "He wants things done by yesterday as I think everybody who works for him will tell you".

Fossil's new Sport smartwatch is its first device powered by the Snapdragon Wear 3100 chipset. It's also running the revamped Wear OS that just started rolling out in September.

Fossil says the watch's 350mAh battery will last upwards of 24 hours on a single charge, and there's even a new battery saver mode that will supposedly eke out two extra days of battery life. Additionally, there's a heart rate sensor, NFC, GPS, altimeter, accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, and a microphone present on the watch. A few flavors are only available for pre-order as of this writing, but every variant carries the same price of $255, regardless of color and size. It is available as of now on Fossil.com, and it will become available in select Fossil brand stores around the world starting November 12. As typical, there are two sizes to choose from - 41mm and 43mm - both of which come with a nylon and aluminium case.
