Dead Brothel Owner Elected To Nevada State Assembly In Landslide

"They will feel much more comfortable casting the ballot for him, knowing there will be another Republican to replace him", he said shortly after the pimp's passing.

Arguably the single biggest victor in the US Midterms is a brothel owner who has been elected as a congressman for Nevada.

Dennis Hof defeated Democratic opponent Lesia Romanov on Tuesday in Nevada's deep-red Assembly District 36, which President Trump won in 2016 with 68 percent support, according to The Hill.

Hof owned a handful of brothels in Nevada, the only state that allows them to legally operate.

Hof ran on a platform based on deeply conservative ideals, including expansion of gun rights and a hard-line policy on immigration. The 36th Assembly District is situated in the south portion of Nevada, and includes portions of Nye, Lincoln, and Clark counties. He denied the claims.

He was found dead by porn star Ron Jeremy and a friend who went to wake him for a meeting hours after his weekend-long 72nd birthday party, Mr Muth previously said on Twitter. He had spent the four previous days partying with notables from the adult film industry and political world, like Jeremy and Joe Arpaio, the former Arizona sheriff who was convicted of criminal contempt of court but pardoned by Trump. Former NBA star Lamar Odom was discovered unconscious at the same brothel several years ago but survived.

This set the expectations of Hof's campaign manager, Chuck Muth, high; as he suggested voters would still opt for the deceased Republican ahead of the General Elections.

He said he faced political retribution this year in the form of an anti-brothel push and regulatory problems.

"This really is the Trump movement", Hof said.

In the end, he won in a complete landslide, taking around 70% of the vote.

The thrice-divorced author of "The Art of the Pimp", who appeared on HBO's "Cathouse", owned a strip club and five legal brothels in Nevada, the only US state with legalized prostitution.
