Chargers' Caleb Sturgis continues his kicking woes

Chargers' Caleb Sturgis continues his kicking woes

He missed a 42-yard field goal wide left in the third quarter with the Chargers leading, 19-10. Defensively, the Seahawks allowed the Chargers to average 10 yards per play in the first half, and rush for 7.3 yards per carry for the game. Wilson hit Nick Vannett on a 6-yard TD with 1:50 remaining to cut the Chargers' lead to one score.

Russell Wilson missed a wide-open Jaron Brown for a potential touchdown. Seattle's J.R. Sweezy was called for false start backing the play up to the 6, and Wilson's final attempt for Moore in the back of the end zone was partially tipped by Addae and fell incomplete.

Moore, meanwhile, ran down and in across the back of the end zone, covered first by Michael Davis who then passed him off in coverage to safety Derwin James. The Seahawks finished with 154 yards rushing, but starter Chris Carson didn't play the final 2 ½ quarters due to a lingering hip injury.

McDougald didn't play in the second half with a knee injury that Carroll said was "pretty sore" on Monday.

Gordon is officially questionable on the injury report.

ICC suspends Sri Lanka bowling coach for match-fixing
Sri Lankan bowling coach Nuwan Zoysa is the latest cricketer to be embroiled in match-fixing allegations. According to the ICC statement, Zoysa has been charged with breach of article 2.1.1, 2.1.4 and 2.4.4.

Seattle also had logos added to the field reading "PGA" similar to the patches the team had added to its uniforms.

The move comes less than 24 hours after Sturgis received death glares from Rivers throughout a game in which the kicker missed two extra points and a field goal.

Seattle might well have run it from the 1 - coach Pete Carroll wouldn't say for certain afterward what the Seahawks would have done.

He finishes his tenure in Los Angeles 9-of-13 (69.2 percent) on field goals and 9-of-15 (60.0 percent) on extra points as he appeared in six games this season. If I'm being honest, the Chargers were the real story on Sunday.
