VP Pence Blasts 'Hollywood Liberals,' Oprah's Support for Dem Abrams

Vice President Mike Pence is in Georgia today to stump for Kemp and President Donald Trump will be in the state this weekend.

"I am here today because Stacey Abrams cares about the things that matter", she said to a mostly female audience north of downtown Atlanta.

Trump says that based on Abrams' past and her plans for the state, Georgia "will be in big, big trouble very quickly and the people of Georgia don't want that".

"I have earned the right to think for myself and to vote for myself". And though she didn't allow news crews to follow her work, on Thursday afternoon, Winfrey shared a video evidence of one of her stops. "Rather it lives and thrives in making sure that everybody is lifted by the community", Winfrey said.

"I don't want to run, OK? No one asked me to come here", Winfrey said at a rally in Marietta, adding that she is both an independent woman, and a registered political independent.

She chose to lend her celebrity, she said, after watching how Abrams "handles" herself "in the midst of the onslaught of hate and vitriol".

He said that Winfrey's comments about voter suppression, in particular, will resonate in a state where that has been a concern in the past.

She touts her experience working with Republicans as a state legislative leader, but she doesn't back down on her promises to expand Medicaid insurance, prioritize public education and push for tighter gun restrictions.

Oprah Winfrey confirmed she won't be running for president in 2020 as she campaigned for Georgia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams on Thursday.

"I got a message for all of Stacy Abram's liberal Hollywood friends", he continued. This is Georgia. And Georgia wants a governor that's going to put Georgia values and Georgia first.
