Chinese Official Expertly Trolls Donald Trump Over iPhone Spying Story

Gizmodo reports that, according to a Washington Post researcher, China spokeswoman Hua Chunying said, "If they are very anxious about iPhones being tapped, they can use Huawei".

White House officials have learned that President Donald Trump's cellphone conversations are being intercepted by Russian Federation and China to gather information on his associates and policy positions, The New York Times reported Wednesday. "I only use Government Phones, and have only one seldom used government cell phone".

"Seeing this report, I feel there are those in America who are working all-out to win the Oscar for best screenplay", Hua said. Fortunately for American intelligence agencies, Trump reportedly doesn't pay much attention during national security briefings, so there's little chance of any sensitive information being intercepted in these calls.

A Chinese official also denied the Times report, dismissing it as "fake news".

Fallout 76 unveils 19 new screenshots ahead of console beta
So the Fallout 76 beta starts today and Bethesda really wants to let you know that it's not going to be the smoothest ride ever. We are expecting the beta to go live on the PC and PS4 on the 30th of October, which is next Tuesday.

The newspaper cited anonymous officials who said China and Russian Federation had listened in to Trump's frequent phone calls with friends and allies made over his iPhone, using the information gleaned to shape interactions with the US. Both Wynn, the former Las Vegas casino magnate, and Schwarzman, the Blackstone Group CEO, have ties to China. One of the two official phones is designated for making calls, the other one is for Twitter.

Beijing particularly is trying to use what it learns to prevent the current trade war between the two countries from escalating further, according to the newspaper.

The reports come as former commander of the USA army has warned it's very likely the United States will be at war with China within 15 years.

"Russia is not believed to be running as sophisticated an influence effort as China because of Trump's apparent affinity for President Vladimir Putin", a former official told the daily. The officials said they were doing so not to undermine Trump, but out of frustration with what they considered the president's casual approach to electronic security.
