American values, "are being shredded", Biden said.

Trump said Barack Obama came along in 2008 and took Biden "off of the trash heap and made him vice president".

The House-passed bills include one that would make permanent the tax reductions in last year's Republican tax overhaul.

Americans will vote November 6 in elections in which Trump's fellow Republicans will try to hold on to their majorities in the Senate and House of Representatives.

Trump also claimed without evidence that Democrats want them to enter the US because "they're gonna vote Democrat".

Biden, whose appearance ended shortly before Trump's began, said the United States was founded "on an idea, the American idea, basic fundamental decency, and it's being shredded".

Biden has held a rally with Rosen and members of the powerful Culinary Union 226, which represents about 57,000 housekeepers, bartenders and other workers in the city's casino-hotels. Turnout from the heavily immigrant union was credited with giving Democrats key wins in Nevada in 2016, when Hillary Clinton won the state.

Energised, the 23-year-old should have levelled seconds later, outjumping Leonardo Bonucci but his header went wide. The Portugal captain tapped in, after Joao Cancelo's shot was blocked, having earlier hit the post with a header.

President Donald Trump concluded his three-day tour of Western states with a stop in Nevada on Saturday, telling voters there that Democrats maintain an "extremist immigration agenda" while characterizing the party as an "angry, ruthless, unhinged mob". Dean Heller, considered the most vulnerable Republican incumbent this fall.

The President's last rally in the state was in September in Las Vegas, where he shared a stage with Heller and told the crowd about his once-icy relationship with the senator.

Though Biden said earlier in the week that he hoped Democrats, if they take back the House, do not start impeachment proceedings against Trump before Special Counsel Robert Mueller has released his report, many Democrats are holding out hope that some Republicans will join their impeachment crusade if Democrats have a big enough House majority. He focused on warning of the consequences a Democratic victory would have for immigration policy if the party prevailed during the midterms and managed to capture control of the House and Senate. Republicans now hold a 51-49 advantage.

Senate Minority Leader Charles "Chuck" Schumer (D-NY) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) earlier released a joint statement where they accused the US President and Republicans of distracting attention away from problems posed by the US health care system.

That's one of the themes he's hitting on during a visit to Western states as he makes his closing arguments for Republican candidates before the November 6 election.

President Trump has been traveling across the country the past several weeks, to rally up support for Republican candidates in multiple states.
