Mega Millions $900M, Powerball $430M Jackpots Await This Weekend

A person who bought a ticket at the Stop & Shop in East Wareham matched all five numbers in Wednesday night's drawing but did not hit the Powerball, according to the Massachusetts State Lottery.

The next drawing will be Friday night.

With no winners for Wednesday's drawing, the Powerball is now worth an estimated $430 million for Saturday's drawing. It now stands at $900 million and is the second-largest jackpot in USA history.

Four tickets sold in Pennsylvania did match four numbers, plus the Powerball.

To win both, the odds are 1 in 88 quadrillion, the report noted. "It's always a thrill to have both jackpots rolling, but there's an extra spark now with Mega Millions reaching a new record", he added to ABC News.

This is the third time in ten days someone in Kentucky has won $1 million by playing the lottery, according to the Kentucky Lottery.

Details of where the winning Florida ticket was sold were not immediately available. Winners include Ashley Eggen of Elizabethtown, who won a $1 million prize in the Mega Millions drawing on October 8.

Winners can remain anonymous in six states-Delaware, Kansas, Maryland, North Dakota, Ohio, and SC.
