Mega Millions winning numbers announced

No winning ticket matched all six numbers in Tuesday's drawing.

Tonight's potential record jackpot is worth $667 million or a cash lump sum of $380 million.

Lottery officials increased the estimated jackpot for Tuesday night's drawing from $654 million to $667 million, making it the third-largest grand prize in USA history.

The jackpot has been growing since it was last won on July 24.

The $667 million is up for grabs in Tuesday's drawing. The winning numbers are 3, 45, 49, 61, 69, and 9, with a megaplier of 5.

In response, Google CEO Sundar Pichai argued that users could easily install alternatives to Google's apps if they wanted. The changes are in response to a almost $5 billion fine levied at Google by the European Commission.

Now, for a bit of a spoiler: A jackpot ticket was not sold in California, California Lottery officials said late Tuesday. The cash option, which is favored by almost all winners, is $380 million.

It costs $2 to play the game, but the odds of winning the jackpot aren't good.

Lottery officials confirmed late Tuesday that there was no jackpot victor in the Mega Millions drawing, meaning the estimated annuity value for the Friday, Oct. 19 drawing will roll to at least $868 million, with an estimated cash value of $495 million.

Three friends in Baltimore County who identified themselves publicly only as "The Three Amigos", landed over $218 million in 2012 when they shared a then-record Mega Millions jackpot of $656 million with winners in IL and Kansas. The chance of matching all six numbers and taking home the grand prize is one in 302.5 million. North Dakotans are on the opposite end of the spectrum, spending about $44 per year on the lottery, or the lowest average figure among residents of all 50 states.
