#MadeByGoogle 2018: Google Announces Pixel 3, Pixel Slate, and Google Home Hub

#MadeByGoogle 2018: Google Announces Pixel 3, Pixel Slate, and Google Home Hub

That means it has Google's latest smartphone operating system, but it also doesn't have any unnecessary layers, or skins, on top of it, unlike so many Android phones from other phone makers. This trend has continued through to the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.

In spite of the numerous rumors that Google was planning to release a Pixel Watch at its "Made by Google" event, the company officials came out with the statement that it has no plans to launch any of the smartwatches this year.

Google's Pixel 3 event is happening tomorrow, and thanks to one of the leakiest pre-release seasons in recent memory, we have a pretty good idea about what's coming. The Pixel 3 starts at £739 and the Pixel 3 XL costs at least £869, both depending on whether you choose 64GB or 128GB of storage, but even the most capacious XL is more affordable than the cheapest iPhone XS.

The Pixel 3 comes in three colours, which Google has given quirky names: Just Black, Clearly White, and Not Pink.

The Pixel 3 XL, on the other hand, comes across with a 6.3-inch display and has a weight rating of 181 grams while the iPhone Max is the biggest and heaviest of the lot here with a 6.5-inch panel and a weight of 208 grams.

The image above also lists November 2nd as the launch date for the phone.

The Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL were announced this week and are without a doubt some of the most compelling Android phones on the market. The headline feature is that Google Assistant can now screen spam phone calls on your behalf. In fact, the Pixel 2 is the only phone in the top 10 above to feature a single-lens main camera. If you want a technical definition, any phone that touts a diagonal display length of 5.5-inches or larger is considered a phablet, according to Consumer Reports.

The major difference which has been seen in both the model was about the bezel, the display edges, also about the camera lenses, and yes majorly the display.

The iPhone XR has a 7-megapixel selfie camera that takes advantage Apple's True Depth camera system.

But this time around Google also has another camera to play with.

Google, meanwhile, only has one camera on the Pixel range but it's often ranked as one of the best on any smartphone. The usual caveat here applies, however: more RAM does not necessarily equal a faster phone. The tablet has front-firing stereo speakers, 8MP front and rear cameras, and a 12.3-inch screen.
