Bride poses for wedding photos after alleged drunken driver killed firefighter groom

Jessica Padgett made a decision to honour their wedding day by visiting the grave of her husband-to-be Kendall James Murphy, a firefighter who was killed in a auto accident in November past year, aged just 27.

Mandi took photos of Jessica while she put on her dress and did her makeup.

Both her maid of honor and best man gave a speech, photos show. Murphy was killed by an alleged drunk driver in November 2017 while helping a vehicle crash victim.

Jessica's photos have touched many people after going viral on Facebook, racking up thousands of reactions and comments.

As Kendall opened the passenger door of his auto to get his protective gear, he was struck by the speeding vehicle and died immediately.

She also shared that she had been dreading the wedding day for a very long time: "Now I can look back at those memories that Mandi took, and the ways I got to honor Kendall and be with Kendall and see all the support I had that day".

Murphy was a "selfless man of God who loved spending time with family and friends", according to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

The assocation also said: "He had a true servant's heart and captivating personality that would light up any room". Murphy's parents brought Kendall's work gear as well as his cowboy boots. He didn't know a stranger.

Blake was arrested and charged with with "causing death while operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of.15 or more", although the case has not yet been set for trial. She said: 'What a emotional, awesome weekend this was!

This wasn't what we wanted in the end, but at least we know we will never be alone, we have all become one big supporting family!
