Chelsea's Maurizo Sarri on says David Luiz 'able to play my football'

Chelsea's Maurizo Sarri on says David Luiz 'able to play my football'

By winning the Europa League and the League Cup in his first season, then finishing second in the Premier League last time, Mourinho improved on the unsuccessful managerial regimes of David Moyes and Louis van Gaal that followed Alex Ferguson's retirement in 2013. Ferdinand told BT Sport: "You can't let a situation like this continue throughout the season - wars in the press, leaks, players on one side of the dressing room, Mourinho and his staff on the other".

Mourinho's time at Old Trafford may be running out, particularly if he fails to summon a response when United host Valencia in the Champions League tomorrow morning (Singapore time).

"Of course when you play for Man United everyone expects that you win games".

"I think some care more than others", Mourinho said. "I see upset people (and) some people that don't look like they lost a game".

Veteran defenders - as in they're older than 23 and each almost has double-digit worldwide appearances to their name - John Brooks and Matt Miazga will likely play alongside one another once again as the preferred partnership for the next four years.

Mourinho faces a crunch week after United's alarming slide continued with defeat to West Ham on Saturday.

The veteran lawmaker, a fierce NAFTA critic, also said the new regional content rules were less onerous than they appeared. Following the announcement, the Canadian dollar rose to its highest value since May against the United States dollar.

"We're not going to win the title in this (game, against Liverpool)", he said of a match where Eden Hazard had given Chelsea the lead. "Ask him", Mourinho said at a news conference on Monday. Sometimes it can help but the most important is on the pitch.

"I don't think he is as obsessed with scoring as those two but in terms of ability, he is not a poor relation".

The match is the first of two consecutive Champions League home games for United with Juventus visiting Old Trafford on 23 October. The way they played against Liverpool surely says they look a top side hard to beat.

"The performance on the pitch, the pitch in my opinion is the effect of many factors".

Luiz has openly admitted that he would likely have left Stamford Bridge last summer if Conte had stayed, but Sarri views the 31-year-old defender as ideally suited to how he wants to coach his players on and off the pitch.
