Trump says China is interfering in midterm elections

China's foreign ministry said on Thursday that Beijing does not interfere in other countries' internal affairs, after U.S. President Donald Trump accused it of seeking to meddle in the November 6 U.S. congressional elections.

"China has been attempting to interfere in our upcoming 2018 election ... against my administration", Trump said in an address to world leaders as the chair of a UN Security Council (UNSC) meeting in NY.

The unprecedented disclosure of Chinese election interference comes as the United States and China are locked in a trade war.

At a press conference late Wednesday, reporters pressed Trump to provide evidence backing up his claim of Chinese meddling.

According to figures from the US-China Business Council cited in the white paper, US exports to China and bilateral investment supported 2.6 million jobs in America in 2015, while Chinese investment in 46 US states created more than 140,000 jobs, mostly in the manufacturing sector.

"I don't like it when they attack our farmers and I don't like it when they put out false messages".

He also said China was interfering in the USA midterm elections, but offered no details about the claim except to say that Beijing opposes his trade policy.

Trump also slammed China during his address before the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, calling the country out specifically for its trade practices and "market distortions", as he deemed the trade imbalance between the pair of economic powerhouses unacceptable.

Today Adrian played some minutes too. "But goals are not the most part of playing well". He is good at bringing young players through, he has done it in his career before.

China has also expressed anger after the U.S. approved the sale of spare parts for F-16 fighter planes and other military aircraft worth up to $330m to self-ruled Taiwan, which China considers part of its territory. Trump tweeted last month that "all of the fools so focused" on meddling from Russian Federation should "start also looking in another direction, China".

President Donald Trump is insisting he has evidence that China is attempting to meddle in the USA midterm elections. This is a tradition of Chinese foreign policy. "They were laughing with me". In a freaky and colourful 83-minute news conference last night, Donald Trump, as is his wont, gave reporters much to chew on.

A senior official in the Trump administration told reporters also that the US planned to declassify information regarding Chinese political interference ahead of a speech on the issue by Vice President Mike Pence due next week.

He was particularly vocal on China and President Xi Jinping. In comments that are likely to make his neighbours north of the border shudder, Trump also that he was mulling a new tax in imported cars from Canada that he called "the mother lode".

Trump made the charged claim with members of the Chinese delegation, including Foreign Minister Wang Yi, sitting three seats down.

"It remains the best means of preventing Iran developing a nuclear weapon and we are committed to preserving the JCPOA as long as Iran continues to abide by its obligations in full", May said.

Trump says during a news conference in NY that Canada has treated the USA "very badly" during the trade talks.
